Who We Are?
"Where Faith Began: The History of Nepali Croatia Church"
Considering the need for Nepali-speaking fellowship in Croatia, Ram Kumar Thami, Prakash Tamang, Sandesh Magar, and Gidon Sherpa started online fellowship through Facebook Messenger on 13 June 2021 with these 4 people. Then, with the participation of Arun Tamang, Anugrah Singh and others, the Nepali Fellowship Croatia moved forward under the name of Nepali Fellowship Croatia. Considering the number of Nepali Christian friends coming to Croatia from Nepal, we tried to include all Christian friends by praying and creating a Facebook page. Facebook group and giving information about the fellowship. As a result, many friends joined.
To organize the association and move it forward with a long-term plan, a meeting of the association was convened on September 24, 2022, under the chairmanship of Ram Kumar Thami, and a committee was formed to run the association and implement the rules of the association, and Sandesh Magar was appointed as the leader.
While online fellowship is being held through Messenger and Zoom, we continue to celebrate every year’s Christmas program and the anniversary of the association physically in Zagreb, and we continue to plan and pray for physical fellowship. As a result, on June 16, 2024, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the association, the congregation met under the chairmanship of leader and president Mr. Sandesh Magar and formally rented the hall of the Bisnu Hostel in Zagreb and started physical fellowship. After fellowshiping in the rented hall for a few months, the service is currently being held in the building of the local Baptist church, while online service is also being held through Zoom targeting those living outside Zagreb.
Our Mission And Vission
We seek to reach Nepalese in Croatia through evangelism, Bible studies in English and Nepali, home visits and invitations, and access to community and social services.
We want to build a church full of faith, love, and holiness where every believer can be a light of Christ in the church and society through the process of discipleship and be committed to the Great Commission.
We Believe In:
The one God- who has revealed himself in three persons. The Godly inspiration, reliability and authority of the Bible. The finished salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The necessity of being born again through faith (conversion).
The work of the Holy Spirit in the church and the believer. Believers baptism and Lord’s Supper as external symbols. The Church of God as the Community of the believers. Faith and practice always have to be inter-related.
What We Strive For
Guided by Scripture and the Holy Spirit, we pursue unity, leadership development, and church growth.
Our purpose is to expand God’s Kingdom and serve with the love of Christ.
